Jnana Yajnas and Spiritual Camps
CM Atlanta periodically invites and sponsors Mission
acharyas’ visits (brahmacharins and swamins).
Whether organized as a jnana yajna (a series of
morning and evening talks on spiritual topics or
Vedantic texts) or as a spiritual camp (an overnight
retreat for varying ages that includes 2-3 daily
discourses, guided meditation, discussion forums,
and more), each event allows attendees to get absorbed
into a sattvik lifestyle filled with a spiritual
learning that leads to inner transformation and growth.
“Feed the Hungry” Program
CM Atlanta and the Hindu Temple of Atlanta cooperatively
organize periodic visits to Atlanta’s homeless shelters
to offer homemade, sattvik, and nutritious food to the
needy. This event can be individually sponsored for
$51 anytime throughout the year. Many community members
also choose to make this offering on special family
occassions like birthdays and anniversaries.
