Our Chinmaya Niketan IT team has been diligently working on setting up the process for our online Niketan Bala Vihar classes and we are excited to announce that we are set for starting our classes online this Sunday (March 22nd) at our usual 2:00 pm time. We will be using the videoconferencing tool Zoom for our classes. We have put together the attached document which outlines:

- Zoom links for the various classes
- Classroom Rules and Etiquette
Due to security reasons, the details about the conference call have been removed. Please reach out to the respective class-room teacher for details.
Please review the document and discuss the classroom rules and etiquette with your children. It is important for the children to know that this IS a REAL class – the only difference is that they get to be “in-class” from the comfort of their homes. As parents please impress upon your children to follow the rules and accord the same respect during class as they would in their class at Chinmaya Niketan.
Included in this document is a chart that lists all the classes and their Zoom link. We wanted to provide you with the entire list in case you have multiple children at Niketan Bala Vihar or you would like to join Raghuji or Geethaji’s class.
If your child is in Shishu Vihar, pre-K, K, 1st, 2nd or 3rd grade class, we ask that at least one parent be with their child in the virtual classroom to help them. For 4th grades and higher, since the student will not require help once they are set up, we ask the parent attend Raghuji or Geethaji’s class. These sessions are also listed in the chart.
For the younger SV-3rd graders the classes will all start at 2:00 pm and end at 3:00. For the older classes (4th grade onwards), classes will be held from 2:00 – 3:30, but the teachers have been given the flexibility to see what works best for their classes regarding the ending time. Geethaji’s satsang will be from 1:00-1:45 for those who would like to join. This is open to anyone. Again, the zoom link will be listed on the chart.
Despite our best efforts to distill the details in this document, we realize that some parents may have technical challenges in getting the system up and running. This is the time for us to be a true “BalaVihar Family.” Please reach out to fellow parents in your class and ensure that everyone is ready to be in class at 1:55 pm. on Sunday.
